Glen Echo Group, a creative communications firm with offices in Washington, DC and Chicago, IL seeks a fall intern or fellow to help support its fast-growing client base.


This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and work every day with the leading brands and innovators of the new economy. Our ideal candidate will have a compelling creative portfolio demonstrating understanding of design principles across multiple disciplines and the ability to translate concepts into simple, elegant design using humor and common sense. Candidates should be creative problem solvers who are able to articulate their design rationale. In this role, you will:


  • Work in fast-paced, team environment and function at a high level on tight deadlines and with changing priorities
  • Translate messaging into compelling visuals across multiple media and platforms
  • Research, pitch and develop new ways and new formats to convey messaging
  • Present your work to both internal and external audiences
  • Manage websites and social media accounts for Glen Echo Group and our clients



  • Experience designing assets for infographics, websites, apps, social media, videos and/or digital advertising
  • Detail-oriented, ability to proofread documents
  • A passion for design and a genuine interest in internet and technology issues
  • College degree (or equivalent experience) in Media Arts, Digital Design or related field
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud programs
  • Experience with video editing and animation software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and After Effects) considered a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript also a plus
  • Attention to detail, enthusiasm, creativity, and desire to work hard with a great team
