Doris is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm for telecom and tech issues along with her experiences in public affairs and digital media to Glen Echo Group. Dani Leopold

Senior Associate

Dani brings a solid foundation of media relations, crisis communications and social media experience as a Senior Associate at Glen Echo Group. Prior to joining the team, Dani was an Account Manager at D.C.-based Subject Matter, where she developed and executed strategic communications and marketing campaigns for security, real estate and economic development clients. 

Previously, she held positions with Inkhouse, a public relations firm in Boston, where she worked with clients in the cybersecurity, defense and higher education fields. She’s also worked as a communications intern for the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C. 

Dani graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in communication, and government and politics. Originally from the Philadelphia area, you can usually find Dani on the salsa dance floor or exploring local trails with her dog Cash.

Jesse Spector

Senior Director

As Senior Director at Glen Echo Group, Jesse helps clients solve complex problems through innovative media relations, message development, and strategic communications planning.

Prior to joining the Glen Echo Group, Jesse was the  Director of Technology Policy at the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) where she represented the policy interests of a diverse membership of hundreds of digital companies, focusing primarily on issues related to emerging technology, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. 

Before SIIA Jesse was a Policy Officer for the Digital Economy at the Delegation of the European Union to the U.S.A.  Working alongside the Digital Counselor, her role was to liaise between the European Commission in Brussels and stakeholders in the U.S. regarding digital policymaking.  She was also responsible for driving tech industry engagement and outreach, including spearheading the EU’s venue at the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) conference.  Jesse also has experience with the economic development team at the British Consulate-General in San Francisco, a department formerly known as UK Trade & Investment (now called the Department of International Trade).  In that capacity, she worked with enterprise software companies in the Bay Area to help them set up and grow their operations in the UK, and also assisted UK startups to navigate opportunities in Silicon Valley. 

Jesse earned her BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley and MSc in European Politics and Governance from the London School of Economics. She used to host a weekly trivia game at an Irish restaurant in Washington DC,  and looks forward to relaunching it someday!

As a Director for Glen Echo Group, Emma Christman provides clients with strategy development, content creation and media outreach.

Prior to the Glen Echo Group, Emma served as a Senior Associate at Dewey Square Group on the State and Local and Multicultural Strategies team where she helped clients on executing public affairs programs, strategic partnerships and social media campaigns. She has previously served as the Community Outreach Director for Mobile Future, where she handled strategic partnerships, digital media, diversity and tech outreach, including the popular Mobileys App Competition, which awarded social entrepreneurs who created game changing innovations. Throughout her career, Emma has been deeply invested in efforts to close the digital divide and improve the diversity pipeline within the technology sector.

Emma attended Howard University and is currently attending University of Maryland University College. She enjoys traveling, discovering new hidden treasures and falling in love with new cities.

With over two decades of communications, media, public affairs and coalition building experience, Corbett provides strategic counsel to clients faced with the complicated challenges surrounding the shift to the digital, Internet-enabled world, including innovation policy, wireless technologies, broadband deployment and applications, and content-related issues including privacy, security and copyright.

Corbett helps clients translate new technologies and innovations into compelling communications vehicles that resonate with policymakers, press and the public in order to inform forward-looking, successful policies that move the digital economy forward. Corbett brings unique and deep-rooted experience in industry coalition building for a number of high-profile matters, most recently, Net Neutrality, SOPA-PIPA, music licensing, and Wi-Fi. She also has done significant work in mergers and acquisitions within the communications and digital media space.

Corbett is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Public Knowledge, a member of the Center for Democracy and Technology Advisory Council and a Business Advisory Board member for the National Hispanic Media Coalition. She is a frequent speaker and commentator on Internet public policy, coalition building, branding and the media.

Corbett "plays a pivotal role as tech navigates its way through the various regulatory challenges in Washington in coming years" according to The Information, which named her one of "Tech’s Frontline in Washington, D.C." in 2019. She was selected as WWPR's PR Woman of the Year in 2019 and was also named a finalist for CEO of the Year by PR News in 2017 and a Top Woman in PR by PR News in 2014. Corbett received the 2010 Women in Technology Leadership Award for her demonstration of exemplary leadership skills and exceptional results in community-related work, the first WIT award ever for a woman in the public affairs industry. As Director of Finance, Neville manages the firm’s day to day accounting function, annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, and financial reporting.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, Neville joined Delucchi Plus in 2011, a branding, marketing, and PR agency in DC, as their Billing Manager. In 2013 he was promoted to Assistant Controller, where he managed the books and financial reporting for the Travel & Tourism division of Delucchi Plus. In 2016 Delucchi Plus joined forces with Streetsense Consulting, a “creative collective” in Bethesda MD. Once the two companies were integrated, Neville focused on data integrity, project profitability, resource allocation & planning and project reporting. Before moving to the US, Neville held various finance and accounting positions in the UK, where he gained experience abroad at companies like Genesis Housing Group, T-Mobile UK and Lasalle Investment Management.

Neville lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife, three young children, and their dog Margo. 

Neville and his wife Krissy, enjoy taking the kids on walks, visiting local breweries and wineries with friends, swimming, playing tennis, and splashing in the waves at Bethany Beach and the OBX.

She also developed her client-service skills working in a variety of roles in the service industry and volunteering.

Kylie graduated from the George Washington University’s School of Media & Public Affairs with a degree in Political Communications in the spring of 2021. On the weekends, you can find her exploring DC, especially the city’s many bookstores and coffee shops.

Carrie graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a degree in Romance Languages and Linguistics in 2014. In her free time, she loves planning trips to Europe, trying new recipes and putting more candles into her online shopping cart.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, Phil worked in Duke Energy's D.C. office, where he served as a spokesperson and managed communications for the company on federal affairs and policy issues such as climate, infrastructure, technology, and innovation. Outside of his role with Duke Energy, Phil has worked in various roles throughout his career where he has managed policy communications efforts at the local, state, and federal levels.

Phil earned a B.A. in History from East Carolina University. On the weekend, you can find him hanging out with his rescue pup in Shaw. Or, if it's football season, you can find Phil cheering for his Philadelphia Eagles at Boundary Stone.

Connor Farry

Connor Farry serves as an Associate at the Glen Echo Group. He assists a range of technology and cybersecurity clients with press relations, policy research, advocacy and content creation.

Prior to joining the Glen Echo Group, he worked for a range of PR, media and advocacy organizations. Connor served as a social media director for the U.S. office of an International NGO. He also served as a deputy communications director for an elected official in New York. Additionally, Connor has held positions at the DC-based comms firm Precision Strategies, CBS News and worked as an intern on Capitol Hill.

Connor graduated cum laude from the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University with a degree in Political Communication. A native New Yorker, he struggles with being a Mets fan and loves to travel.

TJ comes to the Glen Echo Group from the Association for Psychological Science (APS), where he served as a designer within the News and Information department and contributed to a number of key projects and initiatives.

TJ currently resides right outside of D.C. in Prince George’s County, MD where he enjoys music, sports and spending time with family.

Executive Vice President & COO

Katie Barr serves as the Glen Echo Group’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, specializing in issue advocacy, message development and coalition building. Barr manages the Glen Echo Group’s Chicago office, where she designs and implements successful public affairs campaigns to strategically position executive teams and emerging technologies in the D.C. market and across the nation.

Prior to joining Glen Echo, Barr served as a Director at Qorvis Communications where she represented clients specializing in public relations, grassroots and issue advocacy and social media communications. She also spent time at Trippi & Associates where she learned under the tutelage of one of the nation’s premier political consultants, Joe Trippi, providing multimedia and strategic communications for progressive political, nonprofit and corporate campaigns.

Barr graduated from Brown University with degrees in Political Science and Public Policy and American Institutions. A Chicago native and lifelong Cubs fan, Barr is proudly flying the W in the Windy City, where she serves as a mentor at 1871, Chicago's home for entrepreneurship and technology, and Impact Engine, a Chicago-based venture fund.

Brad Williamson

Senior Director

Brad joins the Glen Echo Group as a Senior Director. He previously served as a Director at Pinkston where he led a team of account coordinators, account executives, and writers responsible for servicing a variety of clients across industries including technology, healthcare, education and nonprofits. “I’m excited to join the talented team at Glen Echo,” said Brad Williamson.

“The last year has accelerated the adoption and integration of technology into all aspects of our daily lives and as we emerge into the new normal it is critical to reflect on what is working and what needs improvement.

It’s important that we continue to educate audiences on what policies and programs are needed to ensure technology remains a force for good in our communities and benefits everyone.

Phil Sgro

Director

As a Director at Glen Echo Group, Phil works with clients to develop and execute communications strategies that drive awareness and support for critical policy changes and platforms.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, Phil worked in Duke Energy's D.C. office, where he served as a spokesperson and managed communications for the company on federal affairs and policy issues such as climate, infrastructure, technology, and innovation. Outside of his role with Duke Energy, Phil has worked in various roles throughout his career where he has managed policy communications efforts at the local, state, and federal levels.

Phil earned a B.A. in History from East Carolina University. On the weekend, you can find him hanging out with his rescue pup in Shaw. Or, if it's football season, you can find Phil cheering for his Philadelphia Eagles at Boundary Stone.

Connor Farry

Associate

Connor Farry serves as an Associate at the Glen Echo Group. He assists a range of technology and cybersecurity clients with press relations, policy research, advocacy and content creation.

Prior to joining the Glen Echo Group, he worked for a range of PR, media and advocacy organizations. Connor served as a social media director for the U.S. office of an International NGO. He also served as a deputy communications director for an elected official in New York. Additionally, Connor has held positions at the DC-based comms firm Precision Strategies, CBS News and worked as an intern on Capitol Hill.

Connor graduated cum laude from the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University with a degree in Political Communication. A native New Yorker, he struggles with being a Mets fan and loves to travel.

Lori Jeppe, SHRM-CP

HR & Office Coordinator

Lori is the Office Manager at the Glen Echo Group.  She wears many hats in her role that cover everything from admin and scheduling superhero to cruise director. 

Lori is a military spouse and proud mom of two. She has moved too many times to count, but now lives in the DC area and has been with the Glen Echo team since 2018. She earned her B.A. in Organizational Management at Ashford University with an emphasis on education from Northern Arizona University. She also just recently secured her certification from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP). 

When she’s not in the office, Lori enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending theatre shows, and trying new restaurants in the area.

Miranda graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in International and Area Studies concentrated in Development. She spends her free time playing ultimate frisbee, petting every dog, and cheering on her favorite team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

John Perrino

As a Director at Glen Echo Group, John assists clients with strategic communications plans utilizing media relations, content development, policy analysis and event planning.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, John led communications and marketing for the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. He previously held positions with GW’s Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and Elliott School of International Affairs. John got his start in Internet policy as a Communications Fellow at the Internet Education Foundation, helping organize and promote Capitol Hill briefings and the annual State of the Net conference.

He earned a Master of Public Administration and a B.A. in Political Communication from the George Washington University. You might spot him running around the National Mall when he’s not on the couch with his greyhound rooting for the New York Yankees or Giants.

Amy Schatz serves as a Vice President at the Glen Echo Group. She helps clients with media outreach, strategic communications planning and content creation.

Before joining Glen Echo Group, Amy served as Vice President of Media Affairs at USTelecom, a trade association representing broadband providers and equipment makers. A veteran journalist with more than 15 years experience, Amy served as an editor at Politico, tech news site Recode and spent more than a decade as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal.

Amy grew up in central Indiana and received a B.S. in Music and Journalism from Indiana University. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. She lives in Alexandria, where she spends most weekends chasing after her young daughter and their cockapoo puppy.

Catherine Dillingham

Director

Catherine Dillingham, known to most as ‘Wren,’ serves as one of the Glen Echo Group’s Directors, specializing in branding and content creation.

Prior to joining Glen Echo, Wren served as a Senior Creative Content Manager at the Internet Association, where she led social media efforts, managed the creation of visual and video assets and aided in organizing strategic, issue-based campaigns. In her spare time, she can be found painting murals or creating chalk art at various breweries in the DMV area.

Wren graduated from the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities before getting her degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina. She currently resides in Ivy City with her co-dependent black cat, Marco.
