Prior to joining the Glen Echo Group, he worked for a range of PR, media and advocacy organizations. Connor served as a social media director for the U.S. office of an International NGO. He also served as a deputy communications director for an elected official in New York. Additionally, Connor has held positions at the DC-based comms firm Precision Strategies, CBS News and worked as an intern on Capitol Hill.

Connor graduated cum laude from the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University with a degree in Political Communication. A native New Yorker, he struggles with being a Mets fan and loves to travel.

Prior to joining the Glen Echo Group, Anne worked for AMGA (the American Medical Group Association), where she managed a health communications campaign that improved diabetes care for more than 600,000 Americans. Her five years of experience in communications, fundraising and project management enable her to simplify complicated ideas and execute complicated programs.

Anne graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Political Science and earned her Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Georgetown University. On the weekends, you will find her watching Notre Dame football or the Real Housewives.

With over two decades of communications, media, public affairs and coalition building experience, Corbett provides strategic counsel to clients faced with the complicated challenges surrounding the shift to the digital, Internet-enabled world, including innovation policy, wireless technologies, broadband deployment and applications, and content-related issues including privacy, security and copyright.

Corbett helps clients translate new technologies and innovations into compelling communications vehicles that resonate with policymakers, press and the public in order to inform forward-looking, successful policies that move the digital economy forward. Corbett brings unique and deep-rooted experience in industry coalition building for a number of high-profile matters, most recently, Net Neutrality, SOPA-PIPA, music licensing, and Wi-Fi. She also has done significant work in mergers and acquisitions within the communications and digital media space.

Corbett is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Public Knowledge, a member of the Center for Democracy and Technology Advisory Council and a Business Advisory Board member for the National Hispanic Media Coalition. She is a frequent speaker and commentator on Internet public policy, coalition building, branding and the media.

Corbett "plays a pivotal role as tech navigates its way through the various regulatory challenges in Washington in coming years" according to The Information, which named her one of "Tech’s Frontline in Washington, D.C." in 2019. She was also named a finalist for CEO of the Year by PR News in 2017 and a Top Woman in PR by PR News in 2014 and received the 2010 Women in Technology Leadership Award for her demonstration of exemplary leadership skills and exceptional results in community-related work, the first WIT award ever for a woman in the public affairs industry. She also had the opportunity to share her passion for Catullus, synchysis and the accusative case as a high school Latin teacher in NE DC. 

Courtney graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Kenyon College with a B.A. in Classics. She strongly believes that Ancient Latin and Greek provide the foundation for great success and that Gambier, Ohio is quite possibly the best place on earth.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, Jada worked as a Marketing and Communications Assistant at George Washington University where she created and managed online content, handled internal communications and assisted with event planning and outreach. She also served as the Coordinator of the School of Media and Public Affairs' Career Access Network Mentoring Program, which connects students with mentors from D.C. media hubs, communications firms, nonprofits and government agencies.

Jada graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018 with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science and is currently pursuing her Master's in Media and Strategic Communication at George Washington University. She loves traveling to new places, spending time with her pup, Bella, and watching Carolina basketball.

Prior to the Glen Echo Group, Charlie worked for the D.C.-based public relations firm Rational 360, where he worked extensively with a telecommunications association client to help shape public opinion in a shifting industry landscape. Additionally, he assisted with public relations and public affairs messaging for a range of clients focused on national budgetary considerations, the manufacturing industry and beyond.

Charlie graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio with a degree in History and Communication in 2016. A native Illinoisan, he loves watching baseball and taking long walks to the Nando’s on his block in Woodley Park. Additionally, he hates to brag that he once ran a 7:30 mile in high school.

Kris Carpenter is the CFO of the Glen Echo Group. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in corporate finance to GEG; most recently as a consultant to small and medium sized businesses who assisted in setting and achieving strategic financial goals for their growth and profitability.

In her current role, Carpenter provides financial recommendations to support critical business decisions; conducts “what if” analyses; interacts with and supports stakeholder groups; performs cash flow analyses; conducts due diligence; acts as corporate liaison to banks and creditors; and manages all back office activities.

Carpenter grew up in a small Pennsylvania steel town and was the first female in her large extended family to attend college, graduating from Penn State University with a BS degree in Accounting. She recently earned her RYT200 Yoga teaching certification.

She met her husband of 26 years, Scott, at work. Together, they have a grown son, an incredibly sweet Labradoodle, and a pond filled with nearly record-setting sized Koi fish.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, John led communications and marketing for the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. He previously held positions with GW’s Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and Elliott School of International Affairs. John got his start in Internet policy as a Communications Fellow at the Internet Education Foundation, helping organize and promote Capitol Hill briefings and the annual State of the Net conference.

He is pursuing a Master of Public Administration and earned a B.A. in Political Communication from the George Washington University. You might spot him running around the National Mall when he’s not on the couch with his greyhound rooting for the New York Yankees or Giants.

John Perrino

Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate at Glen Echo Group, John assists clients with strategic communications plans utilizing media relations, content development, policy analysis and event planning.

Prior to joining Glen Echo Group, John led communications and marketing for the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. He previously held positions with GW’s Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and Elliott School of International Affairs. John got his start in Internet policy as a Communications Fellow at the Internet Education Foundation, helping organize and promote Capitol Hill briefings and the annual State of the Net conference.

He is pursuing a Master of Public Administration and earned a B.A. in Political Communication from the George Washington University. You might spot him running around the National Mall when he’s not on the couch with his greyhound rooting for the New York Yankees or Giants.

As a Senior Associate at the Glen Echo Group, TJ uses his extensive skills and experience to support Glen Echo’s creative department, specializing in design, content creation, video and web design and development.

TJ comes to the Glen Echo Group from the Association for Psychological Science (APS), where he served as a designer within the News and Information department and contributed to a number of key projects and initiatives.

TJ currently resides right outside of D.C. in Prince George’s County, MD where he enjoys music, sports and spending time with family.

As a Senior Associate at Glen Echo Group, Nick assists clients with a range of tasks including research, development and execution of public affairs strategy, event planning as well as content creation.

Prior to Glen Echo, Nick worked for various firms where he specialized in assisting businesses, corporations, trade associations, and other coalitions with their legislative outreach programs. Throughout his career, Nick has worked with clients on a variety of public policy issues, both at the state and federal level.

He earned a B.A. in Organizational Communications from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Born and raised in Indiana, Nick believes that basketball is a religion and Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback who ever lived.

Director

Cyrus Rassool serves as a Director at the Glen Echo Group. He assists a range of tech and cybersecurity clients with media relations, policy analysis, content creation, campaign implementation and advocacy.

Prior to the Glen Echo Group, Cyrus worked at Freedom House on the Global Internet Freedom Program. At Freedom House, he worked with digital activists, governments, non-governmental organizations, and tech companies on Internet governance issues and to promote and protect human rights online.

Cyrus earned a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University and a BA in Political Science from Old Dominion University. Though he grew up near the beach, Cyrus prefers the comfort of air conditioning and Wi-Fi.

She has previously served as the Community Outreach Director for Mobile Future, where she handled strategic partnerships, digital media, diversity and tech outreach, including the popular Mobileys App Competition, which awarded social entrepreneurs who created game changing innovations. Throughout her career, Emma has been deeply invested in efforts to close the digital divide and improve the diversity pipeline within the technology sector.

Emma attended Howard University and is currently attending University of Maryland University College. She enjoys traveling, discovering new hidden treasures and falling in love with new cities.

Amy grew up in central Indiana and received a B.S. in Music and Journalism from Indiana University. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. She lives in Alexandria, where she spends most weekends chasing after her young daughter and their cockapoo puppy.
