As Senior Director at Glen Echo Group, Jesse helps clients solve complex problems through innovative media relations, message development, and strategic communications planning.
Prior to joining the Glen Echo Group, Jesse was the Director of Technology Policy at the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) where she represented the policy interests of a diverse membership of hundreds of digital companies, focusing primarily on issues related to emerging technology, including machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Before SIIA Jesse was a Policy Officer for the Digital Economy at the Delegation of the European Union to the U.S.A. Working alongside the Digital Counselor, her role was to liaise between the European Commission in Brussels and stakeholders in the U.S. regarding digital policymaking. She was also responsible for driving tech industry engagement and outreach, including spearheading the EU’s venue at the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) conference. Jesse also has experience with the economic development team at the British Consulate-General in San Francisco, a department formerly known as UK Trade & Investment (now called the Department of International Trade). In that capacity, she worked with enterprise software companies in the Bay Area to help them set up and grow their operations in the UK, and also assisted UK startups to navigate opportunities in Silicon Valley.
Jesse earned her BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley and MSc in European Politics and Governance from the London School of Economics. She used to host a weekly trivia game at an Irish restaurant in Washington DC, and looks forward to relaunching it someday!
