Glen Echo was pleased to gather panelists at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® Innovation House in late June to examine the growth of broadband and its impact on the U.S. economy.

As part of Network:On's event, titled "Connections: How Broadband Investment Influences the U.S. Economy," a diverse group of representatives led a lively discussion co-hosted by our very own Ashley Durkin-Rixey, Senior Director at Glen Echo Group and Melissa Harrison, Senior Director, Policy & Executive Communications at Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®.

The speakers — federal government, private sector, and public advocates — included Alan Davidson, Assistant Secretary for Commerce and Communications at National Telecommunications and Information Administration; Caroline Kitchens, Lead for Government Affairs and Policy Partnerships at Shopify; Veneeth Iyengar, Louisiana State Executive Director for Broadband Development and Connectivity at ConnectLA; and Dr. Raul Katz, Director of Business Strategy Research at Columbia Institute for Tele-Information at Columbia University and President at Telecom Advisory Services LLC.
