Washington, D.C., April 18, 2019 – Award-winning creative communications firm Glen Echo Group received top honors two times over for its stand-out culture and innovative client work, securing two prestigious awards— Washingtonian magazine’s 50 “Great Places to Work” and Washington Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work.” Both publications’ well-respected annual lists distinguish Glen Echo Group as a top destination for communications and policy professionals in the Greater DC Metropolitan Area.

‍

‍

“We are so grateful for these two awards,” said Founder and CEO Maura Colleton Corbett. “Creating a great place to work is a core pillar of the Glen Echo Group and we work really hard at it. We believe strongly that a collaborative, creative and supportive environment in turn builds the runways for our team to take off both for clients and for themselves."

‍

‍

“And that doesn’t just include our team,” continued Corbett. “These awards are a collective recognition that we share happily with our partners, clients and friends who also contribute every day to making Glen Echo Group a great place to be.”

‍

  • This is the tenth bi-annual Washingtonian Great Places to Work awards in the Washington, DC area. The feature dates back to 1999; it is published every other year.
  • Among Washingtonian's 50 winning workplaces, there are a mix of sizes (from an organization of 11 employees to one with about 8,000), as well as industries (winners include information-technology firms, government contractors, financial firms, nonprofits and more).
  • This year's 50 winning workplaces were chosen on the basis of such measures as: generous pay and benefits, interesting and meaningful work, great work/life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, commitment to charity and community and the recognition and respect given to employees.
  • Winners were chosen after editors reviewed nearly 200 companies and more than 7,500 employee surveys. The final determinations relied heavily on the scores given by a company's employees.
