WASHINGTON, D.C., October 7, 2025 — Award-winning creative communications firm Glen Echo Group, an Orchestra company, announced today that current President Katie Barr will succeed Maura Colleton Corbett as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2025. Corbett will transition to Founder and Senior Advisor after 15 storied years as CEO and Founder of the firm.

As Founder and Senior Advisor, Corbett will continue to provide strategic counsel to the Glen Echo Group and its clients, with a particular focus on coalition work.

“Katie has been my partner, collaborator and friend for 17 years, almost 15 of them building this incredible company from the ground up,” said Corbett. “There is nobody I trust and admire more to lead this company. In addition to her integrity, intelligence and heart, Katie is the right leader at the right time for this next chapter of our growth. This transition comes from a place of immense pride in what we have created and deep confidence in our future and success with Katie at the helm.”

“I am deeply honored and incredibly excited to step into this role. Building the Glen Echo Group alongside Maura has been the highlight of my career, and she has made it something truly special,” said Barr. “My vision is simple: to continue growing this company into the most successful and rewarding place to work. With a 15-year legacy of excellence and a culture second to none, my goal is to protect that foundation, nurture it, and build upon it.”

Under Corbett’s leadership, the Glen Echo Group has grown from an idea in the back of a local Starbucks into creative communications firm respected as best-in-class for telling the stories of the digital world and its ability to translate complex technical, legal and political issues into simple and compelling campaigns that drive impactful, successful outcomes for the digital world. Glen Echo Group is a part of Orchestra—a platform built to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving communications and media landscape.

In addition to her role as CEO, Barr will continue to serve as a partner at Orchestra, representing the firm’s public affairs and issue advocacy capabilities across Orchestra. She previously served as the Glen Echo Group’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and was the firm’s first employee in 2010.
